You may choose to Uninstall ThreatResponder service from an endpoint. Uninstalled endpoints will no longer be displayed in the Endpoints section of the CheckLight portal.
Instructions
Log in to your CheckLight account.
- To Uninstall an Endpoint from the CheckLight portal:
- Select the Endpoints section.
2. Select an online endpoint from the Endpoints list, click on the Actions button and select Uninstall.
3. Click on the Uninstall button to finish uninstalling ThreatResponder from your endpoint.
- To uninstall ThreatResponder manually:
You have two options to manually uninstall ThreatResponder:
- Without using Tamper Protection
- Using Tamper Protection
Uninstalling an Endpoint without using Tamper Protection
To disable Tamper Protection see the article: Disable Tamper Protection
Uninstalling an endpoint without using Tamper Protection is as simple as uninstalling any other program from Control Panel.
- On your endpoint, go to Control Panel.
- From the installed program list, select ThreatResponder and click on Uninstall.
3. Click Yes when asked if you are sure if : Are you sure you want to uninstall ThreatResponder?
4. Select Automatically close applications and attempt to restart them after setup is complete and click OK.
Uninstalling an Endpoint using Tamper Protection
To enable Tamper Protection see the article: Enable Tamper Protection.
To get a Uninstall Password, go to The Endpoints Section, select and endpoint and expand it by clicking on the Actions button and selecting Endpoints Details and click on the Show Password check box:
- On your endpoint, go to Control Panel.
- From the installed program list, select ThreatResponder and click on Uninstall.
3. Click Yes when asked if you are sure if : Are you sure you want to uninstall ThreatResponder?
4. Insert the Uninstall Password and click on Uninstall.
5. Select Automatically close applications and attempt to restart them after setup is complete and click OK.
Your endpoint is now uninstalled!
